Buying and renewing subscriptions

The Locking Code is a sequence of numbers and letters that ProVision generates when you install the demo version of the program. It can be referred as the 'fingerprint' of your machine.

ProVision displays the Locking Code when you first run the program and each time you run it in Demo mode. To view the code, go to Help, click Manage Product Subscription at any time from ProVision.

When you apply for a License Key you enter the Locking Code in the ProVision website. This generates a Product License Key which you enter in ProVision to enable all of the features of the program.

To view the License Key and its expiry date, select About ProVision from the Help menu.

The only way to get the perfect License Key is to copy it out of the site or the email and paste it in the ProVision. Typing it manually, is not recommended.

If it does not work when you paste it in, try entering your Locking Code again on the ProVision website. If you have subscriptions available, this will generate a new Product License Key.

ProVision subscriptions are valid for a fixed period of 3 months from the date of activation.

When your subscription is due for renewal, you will receive an email two weeks in advance to remind you.

Licensing and Usage Data

The company administrator for ProVIsion or the Avaya ProVision team is able to transfer the ProVision license if it is currently not in use. Once a user has activated a subscription, using a locking code, it cannot be transferred to any other user.

There are only 2 scenarios where licenses may be replaced;

  1. If the existing user has moved out of the company, you can email the ProVIsion Help Desk to release the license from the currently activated locking code. Once, the license is displayed into Available Subscription section, you can transfer it to the desired user within your company. The applicable validity will remain as it is.
  2. If you are replacing your laptop/desktop PC or the hardware that the license is tied to becomes corrupt, then you can email the ProVIsion Help Desk to release the license from the currently activated locking code. Once, the license is displayed into Available Subscriptions section, you can unlock the subscription using new locking code. The applicable validity will remain unchanged.

ProVision usage data is the switch connection data that ProVision uploads to the ProVision Internal Portal (PIP) server. The usage and connection data is used to debug, enhance performance, improve workflow, identify development priorities, and enforce compliance with ProVision licensing terms and conditions.

If you are connected to the Internet, the data is uploaded from ProVision automatically during startup. However, if the data is not getting uploaded or data upload is unsuccessful, then please contact our Help desk.

You will receive three reminders, 2 weeks before your ProVision license expiry date.
